Awake Melbourne - Assumed in Glory

Today is the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and our whole day honours Our Lady’s destiny and our hope in Christ. We contemplate Mary’s life from fiat to glory, drawing courage for our own journey. The Rosary and Marian hymns frame our worship; teaching proclaims the Assumption as a sign of the resurrection promised to all the faithful. Families are invited to a blessing, and we renew our consecration to Jesus through Mary. In adoration we ask for purity of heart and missionary boldness. Priests are available for confession; testimony highlights Marian intercession at critical moments. As we look to our Mother assumed into heaven, lift your gaze to the things above—let her lead you to deeper love of Jesus and to confident hope in the life to come.
