About the event
May is the Month of Mary, and Pentecost is drawing near. “With Mary, Await the Spirit” invites us into the Upper Room where the disciples persevered in prayer with Mary. We will crown the statue of Our Lady and pray the Rosary, asking her maternal intercession for our families and city. Teaching shows how Marian devotion leads us closer to Jesus and prepares our hearts for a new outpouring of the Holy Spirit. A simple novena guide will be given so we can pray from this weekend right up to Pentecost. In adoration we ask for the seven gifts of the Spirit and the fruits needed for daily witness. Confessions available; small groups practise listening prayer and discernment for mission; blessing for expectant mums and households. Walk with Mary this month—she teaches us to receive the Spirit and to say “yes” with joy.
